Featured gouging a layback turn on his forehand and throwing a big chunk of spray, this is the first time Gavin has made the cover of Zigzag. He's been working closely with surf photographers over the past couple of months in exotic surf locations ranging from the Maldives and Europe to South Africa and Hawaii. The pic used on the cover was taken at his home beach of Scottburgh, located on the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa and was captured by Zigzag photographer Greg Ewing.

"I'm so stoked, I've worked hard to get good shots this winter and itÕs finally paid off, and as a bonus it's a pic from Scotties, that's unreal." said Gavin when he heard the news.

The November mag is the second issue of Zigzag this year to feature a Lizzard teamrider, Dave Richards from Kommetjie in Cape Town was on the cover of the July issue, slotted on his backhand Š a pic taken from a session deep in Namibia up the West coast.
