Lizzard International is a global surfwear brand that produces original surf apparel, accessories and footwear that is distributed to 27 countries.
Founded in South Africa by Cuan Cronje in 1991, Lizzard initially focused on the design and manufacture of wetsuits, the brand soon branched out into other product areas and by 1995 Lizzard was producing original boardies and t-shirts. Lizzard has since grown to incorporate a vast collection of unique surf, street, skate and snow gear, LizzardŐs female range is branded Lizzy. Lizzard and Lizzy target 14 to 24 year olds but the range extends broader than this including children's wear.
On the marketing front Lizzard and Lizzy advertise strongly in core media which includes magazines, mobile and web. The current Lizzard marketing look includes a combination of high profile teamriders, product and action pics while Lizzy's campaign features fun loving girls in the latest season's products, shot in various locations with layout design flair.
Lizzard and Lizzy feature prominently in various international magazines and websites such as Zigzag, ASL, Saltwater Girl, Tracks, Waves, Surfers Village, Carve and Blunt. In terms of events, LizzardŐs premier event is the WQS rated Lizzard Surf Pro held in Durban, South Africa, now in its seventh year the event will be held again in May 2008.

Lizzard and Lizzy have 45 team riders that surf, skate, BMX and Wakeboard. Five of these are full time surfers on the world qualifying surfing tour, one of which, Australian Corey Ziems finished 44th on the world qualifying series rankings in 2007. Lizzard also sponsors a number of rock and punk bands.
The Lizzard website showcases each new product range as well as up to date news and pics. The latest ads are also featured and are available as downloads on the site, leading on from this, Lizzard also has a group on the social networking site Facebook.
